Went to the recently opened Old School Delights with Ting last Saturday.

Do u remember writing your study notes on these cards?

their cakes looks great, especially the banana cake.

Tried their signature Mee Siam which is made based on their family recipe. It was really really yummy.

Ting had their dark chocolate cake for dessert.

while i had chendol.

You are invited to scribble on their blackboard.

Old maid was one of my favourite game in the past and i might be playing one in real life. haha.

Met up with Ting, Lizhen and Sam for Lunch at First Thai last Saturday.

After lunch, we went to look for a cafe to chill and chat

But Ah Teng’s overpriced soft drinks put us off.

Wanted to try this but we were afraid we might melt in the alfresco seating

Then we were happy to find Mr Punch

Nice drinks with reasonable prices.

with many nice vintage signs too.

Old School, Abandoned House & Little India

After our visit at the Istana, I made my visit to Old School for the first time.

The building of the former Methodist Girls School is now a hive of artistic, independent activity — Old School style.

Met up with Amous, Cindy and guys to visit this mosquito haunted house.

Guess it used to be occupied by this association

spooky!

Everyone gave up shooting the house after being swamped and bitten by the hungry mosquitoes and so we retreated to the civilised world again, with cute seesaws, swings…

and pretty cats.

I kind of like these stairs too.

Last stop of the day, Little India. I was really attracted to the selection of vegetables there. They all look fresher than those i saw in the supermarkets!

I wish I could cycle

I’m ashamed! I can’t cycle. Tried learning it more than 10 years ago but failed. :(

After seeing the bikes in the Vanguard, I really wish I could.

I had their all day Big Breakfast.

Sunday Morning at the Istana

The Istana is the official residence of the President where he receives and entertains state guests. The entire domain occupies over 100 acres and is located along the busy Orchard Road. The Istana grounds are open to the public five times a year.

The eve of National Day was one of the open house of the year. Being Singaporeans for more than 30 years, that day was the first time George and I visited the Istana.

The Istana was so crowded with people and we queued for almost 45mins before we could finally get in.

I wanted to sit on the tree trunk too… but i was afraid that it would break. hahaha.

Last Friday evening, on the way back from work.

Preparing myself for the next day’s shoot.

On the way to meet the cute couple last Saturday

Visited the Istana with George last Sunday.

Had this fried dumpling noodles for lunch.

Dinner was at Jurong Point’s Putien with my family to celebrate mum’s birthday.

Sis came over and brought pretty and yummy fruit pies on Monday.

Wednesday – Can’t wait to go home to laze and daze like him…

I love my boys.
