Visited the abandoned Neo Tiew Village on Friday with Amous, Maddie, Deelyn and JY. It was my first time ‘exploring’ abandoned places of Singapore.

We were welcomed by this cute stray puppy when we got there! Maddie named him Spike. He was following us almost all the time and would listen to JY’s comment when he asked him to sit. So cute!
It was a VERY SUNNY day! It was so hot that the pvc bracelet that I’ve been wearing for years ‘melted’ under the hot sun.
Some photos from this roll of film were very washed out and thus I had to photoshop some of them.

The place is (was) used for military training. On the wall are chalk marks of the tactics (not sure what this is call…)

Used to play chess on this type of stone table. Now i feel like eating 柠檬糖… Don’t you think it resembles that?

JY and the bombed wall

Maddie, trying to portray the ‘WTH happened to her house look’

Deelyn trying to act ghostly…

Cute graffiti.

This used to be a market, if i’m not wrong.

We went to a total of 3 places that day. More on them later.
Note: I’ve changed my blog layout if u noticed! Hope u all like it. Not sure if this is a good but i have decided to keep the post to 3 photos on the front page and hide the remaining of the post under “Read More” so that the whole site looks less cluttered. But I wonder if it is a hassle having to click on “Read More” to see each post too… ah… dilemma… please let me know if what you think.
Oh ya, I will be replying comments directly through the comments page from now on, so do check them if you want to know my replies to your questions. :)

I think it’s a nice change. I will revisit irregardless of troublesome or not. :D
awesome photos! and i love your cute layout! (:
sorry to ask but what film did you use? i’ve been trying loads of film to get these colors but can’t seem to find any… :(
i really like this new look! and it’s not a hassle to click read more.
Looks pretty! I like abandoned places, they are always so nice and quiet! Can be a little nostalgic and sometimes sad though..
Can you please give me the address of these places? I will love to visit them too.
Thanks
Tricia / Thanks girl! you’re sweet as ever! :)
f a i z / Thank you!
Melissa / For this set of picture, i’ve used Kodak Gold 200. As for the colors i guess it was because i shot it at bigger aperture (F/1.4 – F5.6), hence the washed out effect.
Mausumi / Actually i thought it would be eerie and i would get goose bumps. luckily i didn’t! Must be the warm welcome from Spike the puppy.
doR.Rei.miSs / I’m sorry I don’t know the address because my friend drove there. It’s along kranji and lim chu kang. You can take bus 975 from Choa Chu Kang Interchange.
So are these abandoned places available to public access (saw the sign)? Like the skin, but I never like the “read more” feature…
Wow..u shoot a really artsy side of Spore! Love it..esp the wooden rocking horse?! Did you bring it back? Love your posts!!

Tommy Hmm… entering is prohibited but anyone can just walk it openly because it wasn’t locked. Yea, actually i thought the “read more” feature might be abit mafan… but i don’t want my blog page to be so “long”…
Priscilla Hello! Thank you! I’m so suprised to see you here! You’ve done a great job for your new brand and collection!
Glad you love my posts! Nope it’s not a wooden rocking horse. It’s actually a plastic fixture at the playground. :D
Yikes! If I were you and my friend acted like a ghost, I would SCREEEEEAM like a looney. I’m chicken like that. I have a feeling I came to this place before, is it near Lim Chu Kang? My brother’s ex gf made us accompany her to do some filming… but that was many years ago and I was already a chicken back then, haha.
U’re so cartoon Melly..Ha..but I am guessing i will be quite scared too, but the pictures are really gorgeous..like abandoned fun fair in a vintage rustic way:P And Thanks for the sweet and lovely words about my brand:) I am glued to your posts..just to let u know!!
